An integrated structure. Produce. Transform. Control.

In-house production capacity is an integral part of CJR’s structure. Over the years, the company has developed facilities dedicated to the production and processing of materials, complemented by its own laboratories.

This integration allows us to oversee different stages of the process more closely, bringing together production, technical expertise, and material control.

01 — Production

Materials prepared for different applications.

Our production facilities allow us to produce and process materials for CJR’s different areas of activity, strengthening our autonomy and control over production.

02 — Transformation

Knowledge applied to every material.

Material processing requires technical expertise, controlled processes, and the ability to adapt production to the characteristics and requirements of each intervention.

Testing that supports every decision.

Our in-house laboratories allow us to characterise materials and monitor their performance through different tests, supporting quality control and decision-making throughout execution.

Production Structure Four locations. One integrated structure.

CJR has its own in-house structure distributed across different regions of the country, allowing production to be located closer to the needs of each intervention.

CJR Headquarters — Central structure and operational support.

Guimarães I Production Center — Production and support for construction activities.

Vale do Tejo Platform — Production and operational support in the central and southern regions.

Figueiral Operations Center — Operational and production structure in the Algarve.

From material to results. Characterise. Test. Control.

01 — CHARACTERISATION

Understanding material properties. Characterisation allows different properties of aggregates and materials to be assessed through procedures such as particle size analysis, water absorption, methylene blue testing, and flakiness index.

02 — TESTING

Assessing material performance. Our laboratories are equipped to perform different tests, including Marshall testing, compaction, CBR, and Los Angeles abrasion, among others.

03 — CONTROL

Monitoring quality throughout the process. Laboratory control supports the production and application of aggregates and asphalt mixtures, contributing to material assessment and providing technical support to engineering and construction activities.

CHARACTERISATION | Understanding the mixture components
Characterisation of the bitumen and aggregates used, assessing their nature, origin, and particle size characteristics.

FORMULATION | Defining the mixture composition
Formulation of an AC 10 Surf 35/50 asphalt mixture, produced hot for use as a wearing course.

MARSHALL TEST | Evaluating mixture performance
Marshall testing to determine parameters such as bulk density, failure load, deformation, air voids, and V.M.A.
