1. PURPOSE AND GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS
1.1. These terms and conditions of use (“Terms of Use”) define the rules for accessing and using the website (hereinafter referred to as the “Site”) of CJR.
1.2. The Terms of Use apply to all public and/or private entities wishing to become or already being users of CJR.
1.3. CJR, with its registered office at Rua de Louredo, 447, 4800-214, Selho S. Lourenço Guimarães, Portugal, reserves the right to amend, add or delete, in whole or in part, the Terms of Use, as well as to establish new Terms of Use. Such changes or additions shall take effect after their publication on the CJR Site, and Users are advised to consult them regularly. Users may consult the updated version of the Terms of Use at any time at https://www.cjr.pt.
1.4. The Terms of Use must be fully complied with and, should the User at any time disagree with any of their provisions, they must cease using the CJR Site.

2. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
2.1. The CJR Site is the property of CJR and its content, including but not limited to trademarks, designs, logos, images, photographs, videos and software published or made available, is protected under Portuguese law, EU legislation and/or international conventions applicable to intellectual property rights and/or related rights, belonging to or licensed to companies of CJR or to third parties.
2.2. The User may not copy, reproduce, publish, import, use or exploit, in any way, directly or through third parties, any information made available on the CJR Site, whether for commercial or other purposes, without the prior written consent of CJR or the third-party holder of such rights.
3. USE
3.1. As a condition for using the CJR Site under the terms set forth in these Terms of Use, the User undertakes to:
3.1.1. Respect the rights of CJR and third parties; 3.1.2. Respect and comply with these Terms of Use; 3.1.3. Not infringe public order or good morals and comply with all legal provisions, making correct, responsible and appropriate use of the functionalities and content made available on the CJR Site, strictly respecting these Terms of Use; 3.1.4. Not modify the software nor use modified forms of it, namely to gain unauthorized access to the CJR Site or any reserved content; 3.1.5. Not impersonate another person.
3.2. The User undertakes not to introduce into the CJR Site any files or information that may interfere with its normal operation, and shall adopt appropriate measures not to encourage the spread of computer viruses.
3.3. Any modification of the information made available on the CJR Site, as well as any other action likely to cause damage or risk the integrity of the Site, is strictly prohibited and may be punished under applicable law, giving rise to the obligation to compensate for all damages caused.
3.4. Should the User have doubts as to the authenticity of the information published on the CJR Site, they must request confirmation from CJR through other means of communication.
3.5. CJR reserves the right, at any time, to take all necessary measures, including restrictions or limitations on access, to ensure the integrity and security of the Site or to prevent loss, misuse or modification of the content made available.
3.6. CJR may, at any time and for its own convenience, modify, suspend or discontinue any of the functionalities or content made available on the Site, without prior notice and without any obligation to compensate third parties for such changes.
3.7. The User may use the contacts made available on the CJR Site to clarify doubts or report any errors detected during its use.
4. NEWSLETTERS
4.1. To subscribe to the Newsletters available on the CJR Site, it is necessary to provide an email address and accept the Terms of Use. The User is responsible for the accuracy of the information provided for subscription purposes.
4.2. When subscribing to Newsletters, optional information such as company name, job title and nationality may not be entered.
4.3. CJR reserves the right, at any time, to suspend, interrupt or cancel the publication of Newsletters.
5. DATA PROCESSING, TRANSMISSION AND PROTECTION
5.1. By accepting the Terms of Use, the User accepts and gives their consent to the processing of personal data provided by them, in accordance with the Privacy Policy of CJR, available at https://www.cjr.pt.
5.2. CJR processes Users' personal data in compliance with applicable data protection legislation, in particular with the General Data Protection Regulation, approved by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 (“GDPR”), and with the Data Protection Law, approved by Law No. 67/98 of 26 September, or any other that may replace it.
5.3. The User may, at any time, exercise their rights as the data subject, namely rights of access, rectification, erasure, portability, restriction of processing and opposition, by written request sent to geral@xxx. In any case, the User may lodge a complaint with the Portuguese Data Protection Authority whenever they consider that their personal data has been infringed by CJR.
5.4. Although CJR maintains appropriate technical means to prevent loss, misuse, alteration, unauthorized access and misappropriation of the data provided or transmitted, it warns that Internet security measures are not impregnable, and therefore cannot guarantee that the data will not be viewed by third parties.
6. RESPONSIBILITIES AND WARRANTIES
6.1. The purpose of the CJR Site is to provide information about the activities and projects developed by CJR.
6.2. The information available on the CJR Site may not be exhaustive, up-to-date or accurate and may contain links to external websites over which CJR has no control or responsibility.
6.3. CJR will make every effort to minimize the inconvenience caused by errors or technical failures. However, it is not possible to guarantee uninterrupted or disruption-free access to the Site, as some information or other content may have been created or developed in files or formats that are not error-free.
6.4. CJR does not guarantee the User, under any circumstances, that:
6.4.1. The functionalities and content made available on the Site will meet or be able to meet any of the User’s needs or expectations; 6.4.2. Any error in the software or content will necessarily be corrected.
6.5. No advice or information obtained by the User through the functionalities and content available on the Site will create any warranty not expressly stated in these Terms of Use.
6.6. CJR shall not be liable for any damages resulting from misuse or inability to use the Site.
7. IP ADDRESSES
7.1. The User’s “IP Address” is a number automatically assigned by the Internet Service Provider (ISP) to the computer being used.
7.2. The CJR Site may collect IP Addresses, along with the time of the visit and the page(s) visited, as a system management tool, to collect and systematize information or to monitor its use.

9. FINAL PROVISIONS, APPLICABLE LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION
9.1. If any provision of the Terms of Use is declared null, ineffective or invalid, such declaration shall not affect the validity or effectiveness of the remaining clauses, which shall remain fully in force.
9.2. The Terms of Use are governed in all respects by the legislation in force in the Portuguese legal system.
9.3. For the resolution of any disputes, namely regarding the interpretation and application of the Terms of Use, as well as acts carried out under them, which are not settled by agreement between the Parties, exclusive jurisdiction is assigned to the Judicial Court of the District of Porto, with express waiver of any other.
